I have heard it said that nearly a quarter of the Bible is prophecy. That amount may not be far off. That to say, I believe our Father is kind to tell us what is going to happen before it does. When that prophecy is made and that prophecy comes to pass that builds our faith in God The thing that can be frustrating thing is when it’s about something in the future, then it appears rather cryptic and were are not exactly sure how that prophecy will play out. Yet, he does give us enough details to identify it when we see the event occur and we are then encouraged.
For Jesus’ second coming he really has given us a plethora of descriptions but they appear very jumbled up. Back to the puzzle analogy, There are a whole lot of pieces, yet many appear out of order and it appears some are even missing yet we prophecy students try to do our best. Below are a list of sections of scripture I have found useful in building the puzzle in my head. I’m going to try to put them in an order of usefulness. Some are tagged along and are just there because they are in the same book as the intended ones but still ultimately useful. If you studied the previous sections you know the beginning of the already. Like I said in section 1, I’m sure I’m missing some.
