Section #9+2 — Did we learn anything from the Tower of Babel?

I believe most Christians are at least somewhat familiar with the story from Genesis 11. But less, I believe, are aware that man is attempting to undo what God has done. Picking the story up from verse 4 we see some key points (KJV)

“And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto the heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the earth… (fast forward to verse 7) Go to, let us go down, and there and confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech… (forward to verse 9) …and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. “

I invite you to read the whole section yourself and avail yourself to some other teachings that go further into the detail of what they were trying to do. For me I just wanted to bring out a couple concepts and make some connections. First of all, the people were already snubbing the directive given in Genesis 1:28 to multiply and fill the earth by not expanding. (Where was their pioneer spirit?) On top of that their pride was “through the roof” so to speak. (pun intended)

This is essentially where God ordained the “nation state”. Each family was given a different language and they were compelled to move away from the people they could not understand and thus split up all over the earth according to the family lines given in the previous chapter. In Genesis 10 you have given by Moses what has been traditionally taught as the 70 “Table of nations”

I wanted to make some connections about the scattering to other parts of the Bible old and new testaments. The first one from the old testament will enrich your understanding of this event.

Lets move forward to Deuteronomy chapter 32 where with have the “Song of Moses” where Moses refers to this same event.

Deut 32:7-9 (KJV) ” Remember the day of old, consider the years of many generations; ask thy father and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee. 8 When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the sons of Israel. 9 For the Lord’s portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.”

We know that Jacob after wrestling with the Lord was given the name Israel. Now did Israel have sons when the nations were divided? No. Israel we not even born yet when the nations were divided. What’s wrong with text is the Hebrew manuscript this was translated from. The Masoretic Text of the 11th century Jewish scribes from which the KJV is translated has the wrong word. The Septuagint of 3rd century BC has “Angels” not Israel. Some modern translations with render the verse more in line with the logical flow of the Septuagint and use “Sons of God”. (ESV is one of them)

So what Moses is saying is that when the Most High God divided the nations he set Angels over the 70 nations but “called out” Abraham from Peleg’s family. Peleg was son of Heber which is one to the 70 nations and Heber is where it appears we get the label Hebrew from. These Angels (elohim) where subsequently judged for their dereliction of duty in Psalms 82 of which I’ll elaborate on in the later section 9+4 entitled “Who’s in charge here”. Furthermore you get a glimpse into some of their actions in Daniel 10:13 where the prince (angel) of Persia withstands Gabriel (A messenger angel) for one and twenty days only to be helped by a stronger Angel, Michael. (the angel over Israel) Later in verse 20 we see a reference to another prince. This time the one over Grecia. These clearly are not humans as a human cant overpower the angel Gabriel.

Back to the Babel division event we have in the New Testament a reference to it in Paul’s preaching on “Mars Hill” found in Acts 17:26-27 (KJV)

“And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:”

Here Paul gives us a little clue about what God was doing with the dispersal of nations and languages in Genesis 11. God was letting us realize our “smallness” and acknowledge his sovereignty over the whole world. As a nation living among other nations, being a good neighbor by following God’s law in front of the surrounding nations will help it “go well” for them (and us!).

We read in Psalms 33:12 (KJV) “Blessed is the nation (goy in Hebrew) whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen as His own inheritance.”

One little thing I need to add is that in Hebrew the VAV as a word is translated “and” it does not appear here in the Hebrew so the other translations without “and” are more accurate. So, as I have been stressing in other sections of this teaching, it is having the Lord as your God that makes you his inheritance. Not your lineage. You are, as I described from section #5, thus “grafted in to the olive tree”

So here we have it in 2025 the process of the attempted reversal of the consequences from, or recreation of , the Tower of Babel. (Take a look at a video of the 2022 Commonwealth Games and you will see homage to it. Yikes!) The globalists have steadily over the years played the long game and national sovereignty is being circumvented in many ways. From the League of Nations to the UN we have seen a huge shift in this direction are every major war. Even the viral leak of 2020 really seemed like a war on humanity in many ways. It really shook me into a realization of how close we are when the whole world seemed to move in lock-step to the globalist agenda. Why do you think the globalists are pushing for world war 3? Could we see another substantial shift forward toward kingdom of Revelation 13 after a major physical war or will we just keep steadily marching towards it.

I think about the movie from the late 80’s the “Field of dreams”. I can’t forget what Kevin Costner’s character was told. – “Build it and they will come”. In the prophetic case it’s like “build it and Antichrist will come”. We are on the brink of completely digital cash and identification. Currencies being eroded by central banks swindling away the fruits of the labor of hard working people. Trans-humanism and the sexual perversion of the days of Lot. I could go on and on. Other websites have chronicled this progression so it would seem futile to me duplicate their efforts. Anybody with eyes to see and a willingness to follow the truth and evaluate with not only with knowledge of biblical prophecy but with an eye on the news, Holy Spirit conviction and finally, using the logical mind the Lord has given us can see where we are at on Gods timeline.

Without the proper spiritual lens you could look around the world and see us heading into the “Brave new world” that Aldous Huxley prophesied of and think that we as humanity need to come up with the solutions to our problems but reading our Bibles tells us a different story. In true ADD fashion, this brain of mine takes me on to another movie line for the section two after this one. The line maybe fairly obscure but I found it intriguing and it’s from the 90s movie “Toy Story” and it goes like this “Who’s in charge here?” In the next 2 sections I delve further into the issue of angels as found in the books of Genesis, Daniel and Psalms.
